GTA announces Victorian Gaming Machine Briefing

The Gaming Technologies Association (GTA) is inviting Victoria’s hospitality executives to attend a complimentary briefing on gaming machines at the Melbourne Exhibition Centre from 9am until 5pm on Wednesday 24 June 2009.

GTA’s Chief Executive, Ross Ferrar, said the GTA and its members are delighted that the event will operate in conjunction with the combined Clubs & Hotels 2009 and Foodservice Infocus Expos on 23-25 June; making it convenient and efficient for club managers and board members, hoteliers and interested hospitality executives to attend all three events.

He said “Gaming machines are an integral part of the hospitality entertainment offering and we are pleased to present important information on the economic, legal and technological environments.  To be hosted by Channel Nine’s Finance editor Ross Greenwood, this will be a day of valuable seminars and hands-on demonstration by GTA member companies of many aspects of gaming machine operations and technology.

“GTA members are seeking to support the Victorian Government’s decision to change the gaming industry to a venue operator structure in 2012 by demonstrating the latest gaming equipment collectively in a non-operational setting.   We anticipate that visitors will obtain a much greater level of certainty about the post-2012 business environment by attending.
