Gaming Briefing Webcast Live

Gaming Technologies Association (GTA) hosts the 20th annual Australasian Gaming Expo on Sunday 16, Monday 17 and Tuesday 18 August.  For the first time, discussions during the Expo will be webcast live and in full from the Sydney Convention and Exhibition Centre at Darling Harbour.

“The Australasian Gaming Briefing will be from 4pm until 6pm on Monday 17 August” said GTA’s Chief Executive, Ross Ferrar.  “This event comes at a very important time in the development of the region’s Gaming Industry, so we have made the Briefing accessible to everybody” he said.  Click here for more information and to register for the live webcast link.

NSW Minister for Racing and Gaming Kevin Greene MP will welcome delegates and Channel 9’s Business & Finance Editor, Ross Greenwood, will brief the audience with the latest on the Global Financial Crisis.   Gaming Council CEO Cheryl Vardon is set to update what’s happening at the moment around each Australasian gaming jurisdiction.

Futurist, thought leader and media personality Dr Keith Suter will lead an insightful panel discussion entitled “What If…?”.  This session promises to be the highlight of the 3-day Gaming Expo, looking carefully at different scenarios and their likely outcomes.

“The way to prepare for the future is to plan well in advance” said Ross Ferrar. “Dr Keith’s session targets what could happen in and around gaming and hospitality – and how we can all prepare thoroughly in order to achieve the best long-term outcomes”.

170 exhibitors are participating in the Gaming Expo trade exhibition, which operates on Sunday 16, Monday 17 and Tuesday 18 August 2009.  Information on the event is available at www.austgamingexpo.com.
